Back in 1968, Ed Domingues was only 7 years old. Even as a young boy, he already knew what he wanted for his future. To be an entrepreneur, like his parents who owned a small jewelry business. Ed helped his family manufacture the jewels and sell them at trade shows all over Brazil. He went to school, became an aircraft designer and worked for an Aircraft Manufacturer for many years; always exceeding everyone's expectations but his own. Ed wanted something bigger and better, he wanted to be a great entrepreneur.
Ready to take the next step towards entrepreneurship, Ed and Vera chose the commercial building services industry and started their business. Established in 2002, the company conquered the first of many successful jobs for the Winter Olympics. The entrepreneurs led a team of 100 people, handling the cleaning of Maverik Center, and Heber and Park City facilities resulting in a very important recognition: “Best Operational Company of the 2002 Winter Olympics Award.”
Because of their great performance, DBS gained visibility and was called to work on the post-construction cleaning of the Utah State Capitol. “Remarkable”, that’s what Vera says about the experience. “We were honored by the opportunity to contribute to the city, and to the community not only as a company but also as citizens.” The company has grown steadily ever since.
The number of clients and employees grew significantly throughout the years. The company's progress was rapid and inevitable. Ed and Vera came up with fresh ideas, processes and technologies to enrich the customer experience. A new building was now accommodating the warehouse and office.
Today, DBS is still the local, family-owned business that burst onto the scene in 2002. After many years of high-standard service and consistency, it has been a trusted name in Utah for years. With a solid reputation and a long track record of satisfied partners, DBS is something of a hidden gem in our community. An established and dependable partner, with family values you can trust.
